Back pain

This pain is felt in back that originates from muscles, bones nerves, joints or the other structures in spine. Pain can often be divided into neck, lower back pain, tailbone pain or upper back pain and it may also have sudden onset or can be chronic pain and cab be constant or intermittent and stay in at one place or radiate to some other areas. Pain may be felt in neck, in upper back, or in low back as well, pain may also include symptoms other than the pain, such as numbness, tingling or weakness. Back is most frequent complaint of humanity's.

 

Spine is complex interconnecting network or joints, nerves, tendons and muscles as well as ligaments, all are capable to produce pain, large nerves that originate in spine and then go to arms and legs can make pain radiate to extremities. A typical warming sign of potentially life-threatening problem are bowel or bladder incontinence or a progressive weakness in legs. The Sever back pain occurs with severe signs of illness and may also indicate serious underlying medical condition.

 

The Back pain occurs after trauma, back pain in individuals with its medical conditions that put them at high risk for spinal fractures, such as multiple myeloma or osteoporosis and warrants prompt in medical attentions.

When treating back pains management goals are to achieve the maximal reduction in the pain intensity as rapid as possible. All treatments do not work for all conditions for all individuals with same condition. Present stage of condition is also determining factor in choice of treatment.

 

Exercising can be effective approach to reduce the pain; it should be done under supervision of licensed health profession. Studies have found that exercising is very effective for the chronic type of pain in back, not for acute pain, and back-mobilizing exercise in acute pain settings are less effective than the ordinary activities as tolerated.
