Yeast Infection

It is technically knows as candidiasis or thrush and commonly refer to Yeast Infection is fungal infection of any of Candida species, in which Candidia albicans is most common. It encompasses infections that rage from the superficial, as oral vaginitis and oral thrush, to potentially life-threatening and systemic diseases. The candidian infections of latter category are referred to candidemia and are confined usually to severely immunocompromised persons as transplant, cancer and AIDS patients. Superficial skin infection and membranes of mucosa by Candida causing some local inflammations and discomforts are common in many human.

 

While clear attributable to presence of apportunistic pathogens of genus Candida, where candidiasis describes number of different disease syndromes that differ in outcomes and causes.

 Candidiasis is very common cause of vaginal irritations, or vaginitis that can also occur on male genitals, infections of candida can affect esophagus with potential of systemic becoming and causing much more serious conditions, fungemia called candidemia.

 

Children between ages of three and nine years can be affected by the chronic mouth yeast infection, can normally seen around mouth as the white patches. Candida is commonly present in humans; their growth is limited by human immune system normally and by some other microorganisms.

Symptoms of candidiaisis vary depending on area affected. Infections of vagina or vulva may cause the severe burning, itching, irritation, soreness and vagina or whitish-gray cheese, discharge, with curd-like appearance.

 

Symptoms are present in more common bacterial vaginosis. In year 2002 study published in Journal of Gynecology and Obstetrics only 33% of woman; they were treating self for yeast infection and actually had yeast infection. Species of candida are frequently part of human body's and intestinal flora. Commonly candidiasis treated with antifungal antimycotics drugs used to treat tropical clotrimazole, fluconazole, topical nystatin and topical ketoconazole. Local treatments may include the vaginal suppositories or the medicated douches.
